In many conferences, student presenters share groundbreaking research and innovations, but their contributions are often summarized without full authorship credit. Traditionally, conference proceedings list event organizers or editors as primary authors, while presenters’ work is only referenced within the text—limiting their ability to cite, build academic credibility, and advance their careers.

How ConductScience Journal & AMSA Are Changing the Model

With our presenter-inclusive authorship model, we are shifting the way conference proceedings are written and published.

• Named Authorship for Student Presenters: If you present at AMSA’s Digital Health Innovation Festival, your contributions will be formally recognized in the published article.
• A Journal Staff Member Will Draft the Proceedings: Our editorial team will document key insights from student presentations and create an initial draft.
• Student Authors Will Be Invited to Review & Contribute: Before publication, we will reach out to presenters to ensure their work is accurately represented and properly credited.
